About the Author

Aniela Grundy was formerly Head of the East European language centre at University College London, UK. She is a contributor to a number of online Polish-language teaching projects developed under the EU Leonardo da Vinci programme, such as Culpolang and Commpact. She is also a co-author of a UCL website A journey through onine language learning, a resource enabling language teachers to explore the possibilities of on-line learning, and to understand how the vast range of 'new' media can fit and benefit their specific teaching goals. Oscar E. Swan is a Professor of Slavic Languages and Literatures at the University of Pittsburgh, USA. He is the author of numerous articles and textbooks on Russian and Polish linguistics and pedagogy, and on Polish culture and cultural history--most recently A Kaleidoscope of Polish History and Culture.
