Thomas Lin Yun Rinpoche, a native of Taichung, Taiwan, is often regarded as the founder of feng shui in the West. He has lectured and led workshops around the world, including in the United States, across Europe, and in South Africa, Nigeria, Australia, Taiwan, China, and India. He also taught at San Diego State University, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, University of San Francisco, and at the Institute of Far Eastern Studies at Seton Hall University.
