Description

One man's obsession is another man's dream. Two men are held captive by the beautiful Lilly LeClaire. The artist Garrett, by her presence in the ancient oil portraits that hang in a pre-civil war bed and breakfast, and William, by her haunting voice as she sings to him in his sleep. Night after night, she speaks to William through arias from Tosca, Julius Caesar and Madam Butterfly trying to convey her urgent message. From the author of "Talking Pictures," a cooking novella, Chef Elizabeth Podsiadlo spins another wonderful tale filled with excellent recipes, beautiful music, adventure and of course, a touch of the supernatural.

About the Author

Author Elizabeth Podsiadlo is a mother, wife, chef, musician, teacher, producer and entrepreneur. She grew up in the woods of West Virginia, and later in the suburbs of Chicago. She currently lives in San Diego with her husband, daughter, and two dogs. Chef Elizabeth is a charismatic speaker. Much of who she is today shines through during her cooking classes, public appearances and musical performances, where she shares her "small town" wisdom on life, love and music. Chef Elizabeth produced and sings on the companion recording to "The Last Aria," where she is joined on that recording by three talented friends. Elizabeth continues to develop her singing voice through the teachings of Maestro Pandeli Lazaridi, under whom she has studied since 2004. She works weekly with pianist John Danke, who plays on the companion recording, to expand her operatic repertoire of arias and to keep her performances fresh. As the "Opera Singing Chef," Elizabeth has been interviewed for KPBS's "These Days," and appears several times a year on local television stations such as San Diego 6, NBC 7/39, KUSI and programs on both Time Warner and Cox Cable, where she shares recipes and promotes her books, upcoming concerts and cooking classes. She is always asked to sing and is always asked back, which has helped build her reputation in San Diego County and soon in Los Angeles. Chef Elizabeth teaches cooking classes in many San Diego County venues including San Diego Botanic Gardens, San Diego's Natural History Museum and through OASIS, a nationwide senior education program.
