Monday Mystery Munch - Author Event: Thomas Kies
Thomas Kies’ first novel, Random Road, was the debut of the month with the Library Journal in May of 2017. It sold out of its first hardcover printing before the launch date. Random Road is now in its second hardcover printing. The second book in the Geneva Chase series, Darkness Lane, received stellar reviews upon its release. Publisher’s Weekly said, “Kies neatly balances breathless action with Chase’s introspection and sleuthing savvy.” Kirkus said, “The flawed but dedicated heroine anchors Kies’s second mystery with a compassion that compels readers to root for both justice and redemption.” Kies’s third mystery, Graveyard Bay, is scheduled for release in July of 2019.
It's a crime scene worthy of Hieronymus Bosch, so shocking and so senseless it challenges the local law and intrigues veteran reporter Geneva Chase whose career may be dying alongside that of her small town newspaper.
Random Road introduced Geneva Chase - "a reporter with a compelling voice, a damaged woman who recounts her own bittersweet story as she hunts down clues," says Library Journal - to murders straight out of a nightmare - six bodies found naked and cut to ribbons in a posh Connecticut home.
