OBOC - Winchester Women on the Bench
Two Winchester natives and female judges will discuss their experiences on the bench. The Honorable Elizabeth Kellas Burton is a district court judge for the 26th Judicial District’s Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court in Virginia. Burton received her bachelor’s degree from JMU and her Juris Doctor Degree from the UVA School of Law. The Honorable Elizabeth Thornton Trosch is a district court judge for the 26th Judicial District, serving Mecklenburg County of North Carolina. She was first elected to the court in 2008. She was re-elected on Nov. 8, 2016. Trosch received her bachelor’s degree in philosophy and social psychology from Hollins College and her Juris Doctor Degree from the Wake Forest University School of Law. Free admission. Open to the public.
